*walking around in a blindfold*
“…What?” He asked, taken aback.
Does he… not trust me?
He grabbed Loki’s hand again, this time more gently. His smooth fingers wrapped themselves around his. The machine could only let him feel so much… this is all he could do.
“A simple answer would be yes. But neither of us are simple. I want to give you a reason to trust me—to assure you that I will never hurt you. But I can’t ask you to do that. It’s something I have to earn. And I will never stop trying.”
He realized it was so easy for him to say that. He wasn’t holding anything back. He didn’t flinch.
He wasn’t lying.
He couldn’t lie, as Anon.
He spoke that with his heart, not the machine.
Loki couldn’t see but he could certainly feel. He felt how gently Anon was trying to take his hand.
Loki felt his heart pound when Anon spoke to him so sincerely. No one had ever said something like that to him before…
No one.
He wants to try that hard to get through to me?
Loki said nothing, but firmly held onto Anon’s hand.
“…I’ll ask again. Are you ready?”
Do you trust me?
Loki didn’t know. He didn’t want to answer.
He squeezed Anon’s hand, “I- …. I want to…” he whispered painfully.
Anon pressed his forehead to Loki’s.
“Then go ahead. I won’t give you a reason not to.”
With that, he warped the two of them to his own house. Once inside, his grey exterior faded away, revealing Julian’s warmer skin.
However, he did not let go of Loki. He gave his hand a gentle squeeze.
“We’re here.”
Loki felt Anon’s skin change into Julian’s. He felt his heart skip a beat and his breath got caught down into his throat.
Julian’s voice, the squeeze of his hand.
“Thank you.” He said softly.
He thought he might be sweating…
“You’re welcome.”
He smiled, not that he could see. He wanted him to… He wanted to remove the blindfold and look him in the eye.
But he wouldn’t do that to him, no. He simply kissed him on she cheek gently.
“Stay here while I get the mattress ready, alright?” He asked i hush tones, and went to find the switch.
